Dirty Hippie!! What makes you shine?

So, If you've been in our store, or have check out any of our products you've seen the "Dirty Hippie" franchise! Why the name? Well it all started out way back when we first started our skin & hair care venture.... Let's reminisce...

This character to the left is me, oh, probably about 11 years ago. I had a "Welcome back Kotter" afro, but had enough money for a razor when i needed it. This picture was taken during a 3 day concert called "Hippy Hill Hoodang", which was down at Bean Blossom, in Southern Indiana. I'm actually just getting up from sleeping in the back of my S-10 truck. It had rained for most of the day, and I just wanted to sleep... I wasn't really considered a "Hippie", but i was pretty close to that. Closer to Vagabond, but with a job bartending, and playing music. So became the naming inspiration for our "Dirty Hippie" Soap.

When Mama Pearson, aka my wife, Amie, decided to make a soap that could scrub even the dirtiest of people, she had this picture in mind. The soap truly came first in this one. She made an awesome soap with activated charcoal, to pull out that hippie oil funk i'd been carrying around, and mixed in some ground orange peel to ask as a scrub, but not like stone, cause hippies are delicate.

This bar to the right is Mama Pearson's Dirty Hippie! It's still her number one selling bar. Maybe 1/4 of the sales just because of the name, but the rest, because it's an awesome soap!

The Tie Dye needed to stay with the name, because Tie Dye is almost synonomous with the word "Hippie". That's why all our "Dirty Hippie" products carry some form of tie dye on the label.

So what makes our "Dirty Hippie" smell so good? We've combined the dark and mysterious notes of Patchouli, with the bright clean scent of Orange. It makes for an awesome combination, and keeps everyone coming back for more. They just cant get enough.

So next time you're looking to bring out your inner hippie, try some "Dirty Hippie" from Iron Mask Beard & Shave Co., or Mama Pearson's Soaporium!
